Schisandra is classified as an adaptogen, an herb that regulates and normalizes the functions of the body and increases its resistance to stress. The active ingredients in schizandra include substances called gallic acid as well as vitamins C and E.
In China ,there are two kinds of Schisandra seed : North Schisandra seed & South Schisandra seed.
North Schisandra seed is from Liaoning ,Heilongjiang province,the color is bright red;
South Schisandra seed is from Shaanxi,Hubei Province ,the color is light brown
