Latin name: Citrus reticulata Blanco
Chen Pi, Chinese traditional medicine name. It is the dried and ripe peel of Citrus reticulata Blanco and its cultivated varieties in the Rutaceae family. The medicinal material is divided into "Chen Pi" and "Guang Chen Pi". The ripe fruits are picked, peeled and dried in the sun or at low temperature.
As usual ,two kinds of Orange peel, one is applicated in health food and pharmaceutical ,another kind which be kept 3-25 years is used for herbal tea and very expensive.
